  1. Thomas, do you need to live in SF… ( i did 8 years ago & hated it, ex. Doucebag roommates who don’t let you run cable & so expensive…) I’ve now lived in asia for 8 years & love it…

Nice one! I’m planning an exodus myself. I think I’ll pull the plug on my job when bitcoins hit 5000. I have enough bitcoins to live well in Cambodia for 13 years. 5000 btc would push it out to 26 years, and if I sell my house that pushes it out to 46 years. How do you like where you are?

    2. Haha, i had convo privately with Thomas the day before. I have been thinking of moving to Asia myself but will visit Colombia for first time in October and if I can pick up some Spanish I have a feeling I might not want to leave :)… But even though i’m in NYC now, being out in Staten Island, i have a car and a really nice apartment to myself and my cost of living is less than his out in San Fran… i don’t think i would be able to live in San Fran (though the winters are better)

No doubt! What you’re doing doesn’t really require you to live in the states. In many places in the world you could live very comfortably on 1000 usd per month. The main reason I’ll be leaving is the crazy high priced, government mandated medical insurance and the crazy over priced medical industry in the US. One illness or injury could bankrupt me where as in many foreign countries I could get the same medical services for a small fraction of the price. In this day and age, countries are competing for the wealth of retired people and the extremely high taxes and other disadantages here in the states make it massively more sensible for the frugal retiree to leave the country.

    4. If you Haven’t lived abroad,, You will probably LOVE it !… it’s like Always being on Vacation & the people (generally) are much friendlier, Quality of Life is much higher, more Freedom, etc, etc… (5 years in India- Loved it & Taiwan Now 3+ years- where you can buy your BTC @ the corner 7-11 : D!… ((& Tons of Hot Girls ; )

  2. Everyone on this show is “must see / must hear.” I’m hooked. I wouldn’t consider missing an episode. I would like some footnotes about the people, things and issues that are mentioned—so that I can Google what interests me…that I don’t know about…or haven’t heard of yet. What is a suggested or needed amount per month per viewer?
